PATHOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS:
Blood pressure changes in the human body, either increased or decreased, involve complex mechanisms. There is no single causative factor in either case. Probably the most common type seen is referred to as Primary Hypertension or Benign Essential Hypertension, which is a disorder of unknown origin characterized primarily by an elevated diastolic pressure- associated with a generalized arteriolar vasoconstriction which in turn produces an elevated systolic pressure. Other causes of hypertension include degenerative tissue and organ changes as in aldosteronism, glomerulonephritis, nephrosclerosis, renovascular disease, toxemias of pregnancy, coronary artery disease and cardiac hypertrophy, arteriosclerosis, diabetes, and obesity.

PHYSIOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS:
Marked stress which always involves the adrenal glands is a major consideration. Also, the degenerative changes of diverse tissues and metabolic disturbances; plus glandular disturbances; and heart, kidney and liver failure; cardiac disease; and arteriosclerosis are all to be considered.

TREATMENT:
Primarily aimed at disclosing each and every underlying cause and treating specifically for that pathology. However, we present a basic treatment schedule to be used in any and every case of hypertension.
