PATHOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS:
This condition is not truly symptomatic of other diseases or disorders involving faulty digestion. Characterized by a series of abdominal fullness, eructation, heartburn, nausea, and occasional vomiting.

PHYSIOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS:
This condition shows different patterns from time to time with symptoms occurring irregularly. Stress is a definite factor or triggering mechanism in most cases. Etiological factors include excessive use of alcohol, achlorhydria, insufficient bile secretion, faulty function of stomach and intestines, and is sometimes seen in heart disease and liver disease.

TREATMENT:
he use of antacids, a most common habit, is contraindicated. Rather than having too much stomach acid, the largest percent of these cases have too little hydrochloric acid and replacement therapy is indicated. A decrease or absence of hydrochloric acid can result from protein deficiency, decreased enzyme production with corresponding diminution of peristalsis, and marked insufficiency of the entire vitamin B-complex and vitamin A. These deficiencies must be corrected through proper natural diet and adequate supplementation.
