C AspaScorb #851 3 tsp. daily - An important factor in overcoming myocardial muscular fatigue and subsequent potential muscular necrosis in the myocardium, and overcoming an overspill of the lactic acid pool, is to increase the formation of ATP, (adenosine tri-phosphate), which is the energy source for every cell in the body. Aspartic acid transports the potassium and magnesium ions to the inner layer of the outer cell membrane which activates the respective enzymes, resulting in increased formation of ATP. It also supplies necessary magnesium for activating enzymes which aid in synthesizing lecithin in the body. Chewable Co-Enzyme Q10 #K853 3 every day - Co-Enzyme Q-10 is an integral part of the mitochondria and is essential in the synthesis of adenosine triphosphate, (ATP). | PATHOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS: |
| Arteriosclerosis is a general term covering a number of diseases of blood vessels. The type we are concerned
with here is called Atherosclerosis and is characterized by intimal thickening of the vascular tree due to localized accumulations of lipids, known as
atheromas. The condition develops insidiously and has a predilection for coronary, cerebral and peripheral arteries. The etiological factors are
probably both hereditary and environmental. |
| PHYSIOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS: |
| The end result of the infiltration of the lining of the walls of the arteries is reduction of lumen, to,a
greater or lesser extent, progressively up to total occlusion. The symptoms result from deprivation of vital organs and tissues of arterial blood supply.
Predisposing factors of causation are a diet which leads to elevation of blood fats and cholesterol, reduced glucose tolerance, smoking, and lack
of exercise in addition to certain inherited tendencies. |
| TREATMENT: |
| First consideration is the elimination of contributing factors such as tobacco and alcohol. Regulation of diet
to reduce fat intake and provide sufficient, natural nutrients must be implemented immediately. Exercise of the right sort, rest and general good
hygiene, must be undertaken. Most importantly, a program of correct Nutritional Therapy with the use of concentrated, natural food supplements is the major
effort. A diet high in fiber content is beneficial. |
